Ruby Desert Plant
Ruby plant, Sonoran Desert, Southern Arizona
Strange are the ways of the desert plants,
Some turn ruby, and some attract ants;
Keep your eyes open and you will see
Wonders that no human thought could be!

Ruby Trash
Discarded cigarette pack, Sonoran Desert, Southern Arizona
Trashing up the desert
With discarded smokes,
Litterbugs are laughing
At their little jokes.

Snake Alert
Warning sign at Painted Rock Petroglyph Site near Gila Bend, Arizona
If you hear a rattle,
There's no need to stay!
Why should sharp fangs prick you?
Run the other way!
