Old gasoline pumps, Rancho Los Alamitos, Long Beach, California
Silent are the red pumps
That once gushed gasoline;
Now the search is earnest
For a fuel that's clean!

Whoo cool shots, I have never seen these before :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting...
I love the art-deco pumps - no longer dispensing dispensing the old leaded gasoline, they have been re-purposed as sculpted metal sidewalk art. Nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat was once a common necessity is now an art of wonder. I remember seeing one in operation and was fascinated watching the oil churn round behind the glass at the top.
ReplyDeleteThese gas pumps just need an old restored service station to provide the right background for them. Very nicely captured.
ReplyDeleteTwins!
