Unfortunately, banning weapons doesn't change the minds or hearts of those who have come to that point in their life that using the weapon to take innocent lives seems like an appropriate answer to their personal problem. A sign doesn't matter to someone who's values are broken. The sign only provides law enforcement with a starting point for filing charges. It is indeed a sad commentary on the society in which we live.
I wonder what the exceptions are!
ReplyDeleteSo sad that such a sign is needed at a school.
ReplyDeleteshame they are not banned totally everywhere
ReplyDeleteI agree with Gerald, should be banned everywhere.
ReplyDeleteAgree with others, they should be banned in every public place.

Am in agreement as well (and I like your poem too)!
ReplyDeleteNo weapons should be allowed at all for nobody, except those who need one in their work !
ReplyDeleteHow awful to have to live somewhere that needs to issue such signs...
ReplyDeleteIt is a sad sign of our times...
