Ruby Desert Plant

Ruby desert plant photo Rubydesertplant_zps15f45671.jpg
Ruby plant, Sonoran Desert, Southern Arizona

Strange are the ways of the desert plants,
Some turn ruby, and some attract ants;
Keep your eyes open and you will see
Wonders that no human thought could be!

  1. I like your poem, and the deserty background with the ruby-stemmed plant.

  2. A nice bright spot in the desert!

  3. Thought at first it was Rhubarb!! The more you look the more you see.

  4. I thought it was something from the ocean at first! The most opposite environment possible!

  5. Wonderful contrast. Nice poem.

  6. Interesting plant!
    Thanks for hosting.

  7. Imagine that color in the desert! Gorgeous!

  8. I was lucky to be able to participate. I was so late.....
    Do you think the stem turned red because it tried to protect itself against the sun? I have noticed that some very green plants turn red just like people getting "coups de soleil", here in France. :-)

    Have a nice day and thank you for hosting our ruby shots.
