Ruby plant, Sonoran Desert, Southern Arizona
Strange are the ways of the desert plants,
Some turn ruby, and some attract ants;
Keep your eyes open and you will see
Wonders that no human thought could be!

I like your poem, and the deserty background with the ruby-stemmed plant.

ReplyDeletedesert reds under the sun
ReplyDeleteThought at first it was Rhubarb!! The more you look the more you see.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was something from the ocean at first! The most opposite environment possible!

Interesting plant!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
Imagine that color in the desert! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to be able to participate. I was so late.....
ReplyDeleteDo you think the stem turned red because it tried to protect itself against the sun? I have noticed that some very green plants turn red just like people getting "coups de soleil", here in France. :-)
Have a nice day and thank you for hosting our ruby shots.
